'Phone lines down after Feltwell crash

TELEPHONE lines were brought down beside the B1386 Southery Road at Feltwell yesterday morning when a van collided with a telegraph pole.

The single vehicle accident involved a white Mercedes van driven by a 25-year-old man, who was taken by ambulance to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital suffering from a possible back or neck injury.

Norfolk police said the van ended up on its side in a ditch after the 8am incident, and BT engineers were called in to deal with the wires that came down.
