A MAN has been taken to hospital after a car collided with a shop window in Downham market place.

The man, who was in his 60s, had to be released from the black Toyota Yaris by the fire service.

Two crews came from Lynn and another from Outwell.

He was treated on scene for injuries and was taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital with chest pain.

The car went into the front of a ladieswear store, The Stock Shop, at around 12.30pm today (Wednesday).

Nobody from the store was injured and diversions were quickly put in place while the road was closed.
