'Pink' Queen at Flitcham

The Queen was well and truly in the pink on Sunday when she attended a church service at Flitcham.

Appearing happy and relaxed, she was presented with flowers by a small group of children after the service and among them was four-year-old Joely May Lake, of Lynn, who said: "She's pink" on spotting The Queen's vivid coat and hat.

Both The Queen and Prince Philip attended St Felix Church, a five-mile drive from Sandringham, where the Bishop of Derby, the Rt Rev Christopher Hall, preached the sermon. Around 50 people gathered to wait for her.

The Queen also took time to chat to wheelchair user Margaret Wilson, wearing a similar-coloured coat, who presented her with Lincolnshire tulips.

"The Queen remarked that we were wearing the same colour. She looked lovely today," said Mrs Wilson, of Holbeach.

Also in the Royal party were Lord and Lady Brabourne and Lord and Lady Vesty.
