Plan for sites for travellers

PLANNING officers will help travellers to make unauthorised sites legitimate in a step toward making up a shortfall of designated pitches, identified in a review.

West Norfolk's cabinet agreed to the interim measure for "appropriate" unauthorised sites in a step toward providing an extra 53 pitches needed to meet its statutory obligation, when it met on Tuesday.

Policies should also change ensure the entire requirement is met.
