Police still probe Lynn death

DETECTIVES continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Lynn.

The 58-year-old woman died at the town's Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, November 20, within three days of being the victim of a serious assault.

Following a post-mortem, police are treating the woman's death as suspicious.

A 41-year-old man, arrested in connection with the assault, has now been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The victim, who lived in South Lynn but is originally from Lithuania, will not be named by police until after formal identification procedures have taken place later this week.

Det Insp Paul Chapman said: "The investigation into the woman's death remains on-going at this time and we are actively pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and awaiting the results of a number of tests.

"We would still appeal for anyone who may know anything about this incident to contact Lynn CID."

Anyone with information should contact Lynn CID on 0845 456 4567.
