Post tributes here to Hilgay accident victim

POLICE have named the 18-year-old who tragically died in an accident on the A10 at Hilgay in the early hours of Sunday.

David Macgregor-Shailes, of Steeles Drove in the village, died shortly after being involved in a collision with a car near the junction with Ely Road at about 1.30am.

The car, a red Honda Civic, was being driven by a 23-year-old man from the Downham area who was not injured.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw David walking along the Southery-bound carriageway of the A10 before the collision to contact PC Chris Curtis at the Swaffham Road Policing Unit, 0845 456 4567.

POST YOUR TRIBUTES BELOW or e-mail newsdesk@lynnnews.co.uk

This tribute has come in from David's family.

David was a wonderful, beautiful son, who was turning into a handsome young man full of life, warmth and laughter.

He will be remembered by many of his friends for the numerous antics he used to get up to, a lot of these I'm sure we know nothing about!

We would like him to be remembered like this.

David was and is loved dearly by his family and friends, because of the way he was, a strong willed stubborn pain in the butt at times, but a loving and warm soul who you could not help loving.

He was a mischief maker with a glint in his eye, you could not stay angry at him for too long, he would always make you smile, melt you by giving you a puppy dog look, fluttering his eyes and saying "I Love you Mummy" or just "I lub you".

We miss you Son
