Praise for success at Gaywood's Park High
SUCCESS characterised the 2006-7 academic year at Park High School, said headteacher Bob Rogers at the annual prize presentation.
Pupils at the school in Gaywood had continued to improve academically and had succeeded in all areas of school life, said Dr Rogers.
At GCSE, more than 32 per cent of students achieved five A*to C grades, 80 per cent gained at least five A* to G grades and 95 per cent took away at least one GCSE.
For sixth formers, the average point score rose again, and all who wanted to gained a university place.
Success also came in the form of an Ofsted visit resulting in a satisfactory report for the school with the inspectors praising the significant improvements made.
In other areas, the school's ethnic enterprises team scooped the Lynn News Company Profile Award for organising a number of events and met Doug Richard from BBC2's Dragons Den series.
In sport, the girls of the school took all four county basketball titles. In drama, students took part in the National Theatre connections project and jointly premiered the play, A Year and a Day.
