Pumpkin's ripe for raising cash

COMPETITION is hotting up at Knight's Hill near Lynn, with a basket of fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced fruit up for grabs.

For 1 per go, customers get the chance to guess the weight of a pumpkin, taking pride of place on the counter of the Farm Shop – with all proceeds going to the Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House.

The shop has provided patient and staff lunches for the Snettisham-based hospice, and has supported it with other fundraising activities.

Hospice fundraising manager, Mr Rob Cartwright said, “Everyone at Knight’s Hill Farm Shop has been so supportive and the shop’s customers have been very generous.

“We really appreciate the shop’s continuing support that ensures the hospice can provide vital care throughtout Norfolk and the Fens.”

The closing date of the competition is Tuesday, October 30.
