Reward for missing Sutton Bridge dog
A £300 reward is now being offered for information leading to the safe return of a greyhound which disappeared last week.
Rescue dog Gandy is white and fawn and had been adopted for only a few days by Gill Smith, of Pebble Close, Sutton Bridge, when he went missing in Long Sutton at 4.30pm last Thursday.
He was spooked and ran off.
"Gandy was seen a few minutes later in Wisbech Road by the mill but before he could be caught he ran back over Popbottle Bridge and back into Long Sutton," said Miss Smith.
"Some children saw him in the park on the football pitch but couldn't catch him. There was a possible sighting at around 7pm in Daniel's Crescent but we are not sure this was him."
Some 2,000 flyers have gone out and many people are out looking for Gandy who was still missing yesterday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Miss Smith on 07970 311778 or Kerry Greyhound Connection, which re-homed the dog with her, on 07850 498809.
