Sign up for knockout Lynn event

LYNN Lions are gearing up for a knockout anniversary event this summer.

People have until the end of the month to sign up for an authentic It's a Knockout event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Lions' Family Fun Day in June.

The annual event has raised thousands of pounds for charity and drawn record crowds to The Walks, who have enjoyed thrilling spectacles including aerial escape acts, motorbike displays and even a donkey derby. But organisers promise this year will be the biggest and best yet.

The It's a Knockout event is being held on Sunday, June 1, and will see The Walks packed with giant costumes, outlandish inflatables and water games.

It is being produced by Graham Fisher's It's a Knockout, the company which originally took the popular 1970s BBC show on the road more than 25 years ago.

The Lions need at least ten teams, of between six to ten people, to sign up to compete for trophies and win 1,000 in cash to donate to their chosen charity.

The entry fee is 400 per team (that's 40 each for a team of ten) and teams must register by Friday, February 29.

Participants must be at least 16-years-old for insurance reasons.

Lions vice-president Peter Dixon said team members could seek sponsorship to help raise the money, or even get employers to match fund their efforts.

For more information or an entry form contact Mr Dixon on 01553 763667 or email: pipdix@aol.com
