Snettisham's David to be borough mayor

SNETTISHAM councillor David Johnson will be officially welcomed as West Norfolk's new borough mayor next month.

Mr Johnson, of Station Road, has lived and worked in Norfolk all his life and is known to many people through his interest in music. After being elected to West Norfolk Council in May 2003, Mr Johnson served as deputy mayor in 2005/06. The nominatee for deputy mayor will be councillor Mr Bill Daws, ward member for Old Gaywood.

The mayormaking ceremony will be on Thursday, May 8.
