Snettisham Tapping House online!

NORFOLK Hospice Tapping House is launching a new website to add to its raft of services.

It is planned that the new website – www.norfolkhospice.org.uk – will act as a window for those looking into the hospice's services and trying to find out more about the care offered.

It will also increase the hospice's visibility and also raise its profile. "Given our online status, those searching for the hospice's services will find us much more easily," said fundraising director, Marc Stowell.

The Snettisham hospice helps people face life-limiting illness by providing professional care and much-needed support to their families.

"The Norfolk Hospice is not just a building – it is also the hub of a real and immediate service for patients in their own homes," said Mr Stowell.

Services include holistic day care, home hospice support, bereavement support for families, carer support groups, transport, equipment loan and an information service.

The website is also seen as a way of providing fundraising opportunities to the public and increasing funds available to the hospice.

The public can support the facility by holding sponsored events, and buying Christmas cards.

"We are also offering online resgistration to our lottery and the opportunity to buy from the online shop," said Mr Stowell.

"Our website makes getting involved in all this more easy with the click of a button."

Anyone visiting the website will also be able to download information as well as keep up to date with all the latest developments.

It is hoped it will attract volunteers to help. The hospice cares for more than 200 people a month.
