Summer of fun in Middleton

YOUNGSTERS in Middleton have been enjoying a summer of fun and games courtesy of the village's new multi-sports facility.

The activities were organised by Middleton Activities Group Involving the Community (MAGIC) to help raise the profile of the 37,000 facility as part of West Norfolk Council's summer of sport campaign.

Cricket, five-a-side football and juggling were among the activities on offer during the summer and it is now hoped the site will be regularly open for youngsters during the school holidays.

MAGIC committee member Kim Harrod said: "It has taken a lot of hard work to get up and running but when you see it being used it is all worth it.

"The youngsters are important and it is nice to give them something to do."
