SWAFFHAM: Work starts on £470,000 roundabout

Work is due to start on Monday to construct a new roundabout on the A1065 Brandon Road south of the junction with Filby Road, in Swaffham.

The roundabout is required as part of the planning conditions for the proposed housing development on the land to the east of Brandon Road.

Two-way traffic signals will be needed at times during construction and during these periods motorists may experience delays on Brandon Road.

Norfolk County Council has said sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but said that plans were drawn up to minimise disruption to residents and businesses.

Part of the works will be constructed offline and will not impact on the surrounding roads.

The work, which will cost £470,000, is being funded by the developer.
