Take a butchers at this effort

CUSTOMERS of a butcher have dug in their pockets to raise more than £200 for the appeal.

Instead of giving away bags of bones, Bowers Butchers, Lynn Road, Gaywood, has been asking customers for a small donation for the 150,000 Lynn News Special Care Baby Appeal for Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Shop manager Adrian Murphy said: "You never know when it is going to be your grandchild or daughter using it, or your own child being born there. Every little bit helps even if you can just raise 50."

The butchers has already generated 205 for the appeal and plans to continue encouraging donations in the New Year.
