They sang from the heart at Swaffham

AN EVENING of live music organised by a Swaffham slimmer has raised £250 for the British Heart Foundation.

Marcie Fuller (23), of Sandringham Way, a member of Slimming World, also sang at the event, held at Swaffham Conservative Club.

The trainee drama teacher was inspired to organise the fundraiser and a raffle after a member of the slimming group recently needed heart surgery.

She said: "Pam Hart, a group member, had to have a heart bypass and we were spurred on by that. February was also national heart month, so the two things connected.

"Someone donated a cuddly toy, so we're running a name-the-bear competition at the Red Lion."
