Three hurt in Walpole crash

TWO children endured a terrifying ordeal when the car they were travelling in smashed off the road and spun on to its roof in a field.

Firefighters had to cut the woman driver from the Vauxhall Corsa and she was taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital on a spinal board.

The children suffered minor injuries and ambulance crews believed the woman had got away without serious harm.

Emergency services were called to the crash in Market Lane, Walpole St Andrew, at 12.09pm today (Tuesday).

It led to delays and diversions for other motorists until 1.20pm.
