We get Lion's share for appeal
CHARACTERS from the children's favourite The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe went along to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital to present £333 to the Special Care Baby Appeal.
Lynn Players ran leaving collections when they did a run of four performances of the classic story to generate funds for the Lynn News-backed appeal.
The four main characters donned the furry coats they wore for the production to protect them from the cold in mythical Narnia, to present the cheque at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Production director Carol Beveridge said: "We wanted to support something to do with children."
The appeal aims to raise 150,000 for a vital revamp and expansion of the unit for ill and premature babies, to allow more babies to receive lifesaving care in West Norfolk.
If you are planning a sponsored event for the appeal you can save yourself the hassle of collecting the money by setting up a fundraising page online.
To set up a page go to: www.justgiving.com/qehkl click on Raise Money and follow the very simple instructions, making sure to include a message to say your fundraising is for the Special Care Baby Appeal.
