WEST NORFOLK: Call to sign up for recycling scheme

Community groups in West Norfolk are being encouraged tojoin a new electrical recycling scheme.

Officials from West Norfolk Voluntary and Community Action (WNVCA) have launched a Greengo programme in the area, in which they hope to re-use 100 tonnes of IT equipment over the next two years.

And the group will be hosting a training event at their headquarters on the North Lynn industrial estate next month.

Organisers want at least 15 voluntary and community groups to sign up to the Greengo project, which aims to establish a sustainable waste electrical and electronic equipment supply chain across the whole of East Anglia.

A two-day training course, covering themes including what can and cannot be recycled, re-assembling hardware components and installing software on a refurbished computer, will be held at the WNVCA offices at Regis Place, Bergen Way, North Lynn on March 12 and 13.

Call Marie Connell on 01553 760568 for further details.
