When armed attacks took place

MONDAY, September 10, 9.30pm to 9.45pm: Three men brandishing shotguns and a hatchet get into a home in Nordelph and demand cash from the owner. The man in his 50s was at home with a woman in her 20s and the gang got away with several thousand pounds.

THURSDAY, September 13, 9.50pm: Four men in balaclavas, armed with shotguns, a pistol and a sword, smashed their way into a home in The Causeway, Stow Bridge, as a man in his 70s was watching television and his middle-aged son was asleep in bed. The older man was able to flee the house to raise the alarm but his son was left bloody and dazed after being hit around the head with a sawn-off shotgun. A steel safe containing a large amount of cash and jewellery was stolen.

SATURDAY, around 10.20pm: Five men in a car were seen acting suspiciously in New Road, North Runcton. A man in his late teens was confronted in his driveway by three masked men armed with shotguns and an iron bar as he was shutting the gates to the home. The gang began pushing him around, but fled empty handed when the victim's father activated a burglar alarm.

SUNDAY, 10.30pm: Children were present when shots were fired during a raid at an Upwell home. Householders discovered four masked men at the back of their home in Townshend Road, three of them were armed with shotguns and a metal bar. The gang demanded cash and shot at the home, smashing windows, before leaving empty handed.

The gang struck earlier the same night in Begdale Road, Elm, near Wisbech. A couple in their 60s were pushed to the floor by three masked and armed intruders who broke into their home at 10.15pm and demanded cash.

MONDAY, around 9pm: The gang struck again at Lynn Road, Wereham.

Police are also looking into possible links with two other armed robberies.

TUESDAY, August 28: A male member of staff was forced to open a safe at gunpoint when four armed men attacked at the Comfort Inn, in Northwold. The gang was armed with three shotguns and an axe.

FRIDAY, September 14: Three men wearing balaclavas, two armed with iron bars, pushed past two elderly women to get into a home in Vong Lane, Pott Row. They stole handbags containing cash in the region of 200.
