Woman's car leaves road, hits tree

A WOMAN had a narrow escape from serious injury when a blue Vauxhall Tigra went off the A1065 near Swaffham and collided with a tree on Tuesday afternoon.

The Brandon Road incident happened at about 5pm a short distance south of the town. An ambulance crew attended and treated the 35-year-old woman driver, who has not been named.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “She was shaken up by the experience but didn’t need to go to hospital.”

Police said the road was clear by 5.20pm.
