You are entering the Twilight Zone

LYNN'S Walks will undergo a supernatural transformation next week as it hosts a fun Hallowe'en trail.

A team of young people from the town's King Edward VII School will be responsible for West Norfolk's very own Twighlight Zone with a number of activities planned on the night itself to take part in the trail and various activities.

The evening has been organised in conjunction with West Norfolk Council and park manager at The Walks, Sarah Moore, said she had been impressed with the "imagination and organisational skill" of the KES pupils.

Locations including Red Mount Chapel and Guanock Gate will take on a ghostly guise for the Witches in the Walks which starts at 6.15pm.

The bandstand becomes the Rotunda Coven of Witches, the new bridge is the Bridge of Souls while Guanock Gate becomes the Haunted Gates.

Open spaces will host games, drama performances and a labyrinth and the trail will see visitors solving clues while bumping into spooky characters along the way. Students from the school's Integrated Dramatic Society will provide the entertainment.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to get involved in the community. They are very keen to put their ideas into action and it is also a good way for students to work across year levels and take ownership of a project," said Heather Guilfoyle, head of dramal.

The event is free and takes place between 6.15pm and 8.30pm next Friday and anyone wishing to take part should gather at the Red Mount Chapel at 6.15pm to collect details of the trail. Children must be accompanied by an adult – and fancy dress is welcomed.
