Your Big Event - Downham Royal British Legion annual dinner
More than 150 people packed into Downham Town Hall on Saturday, April 18, for this year's annual dinner held by the town's Royal British Legion.
Organised by a working party, the event included a three-course meal provided by South Wootton-based caterer Paul Witt, followed by entertainment by singer Hayley Moyses. A raffle covered expenses.
Branch chairman Mr Horace Cross said the event had gone very well and everyone had enjoyed themselves.
"We have held this for three years. The first year there were 140, the second 144 and this year 157," he said.
The event is purely a social event said Mr Cross, who is also branch Poppy Appeal organiser.
