Your Big Event - Downham Young Farmers annual dinner and dance
Downham Young Farmers literally "had a ball" when they got together at the Ramada Hotel in Lynn for their annual dinner and dance.
Around 220 people donned ball gowns and black tie outfits to dance the night away at the popular event, which has become a focal point of the group's calendar.
The event, held in a marquee on Saturday, April 4, included a four-course dinner provided by the hotel, followed by dancing to local band Envy and Jack Roper discos.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards by president Andrew Howlett after a speech from chairman Jonathan Smith and winners were: best new member (female) Lucy Day and best new member (male) Alan Bunning, best female (Georgia Berryman) and best male (Paul Hartley) while the sports award went jointly to Paul Hartley and Tom Melton. The wooden spoon award went to Robert Bliss and the president's cup went to Jonathan Smith.
Any funds raised from the night will be donated to charity.
