Your Big Event - Help for Heroes charity dinner
More than 60 people gathered at Lynn Town Hall for a sit-down dinner to help the charity Help for Heroes.
The event was organised by four members of new organisation West Norfolk 4 Help 4 Heroes, with Major Ted Overall, of Dersingham, who had the original idea for the group, joined by friends Wing Commander Tom Morris and his wife, Dee, and Gordon B. Brown.
Among those attending the dinner were Mayor and Mayoress of West Norfolk Michael Pitcher and his wife, Gillian, and Deputy Mayor Colin Sampson and his wife, Susan.
Guest speaker was Mid-Norfolk MP Keith Simpson, a military historian and author.
Help for Heroes supports men and women wounded in conflict and millions of pounds has been donated to the cause so far.
Mr Brown said it was hoped more than 1,000 had been raised from the dinner, and that other events might follow.
