A team of fundraisers from Hunstanton have presented a cheque for more than £1,500 to support cancer care treatment at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital after taking part in a charity bed-push around the town earlier this summer.
Veteran charity worker David Foulkes, pictured above centre, handed the cheque for £1,551 to the hospital’s fundraising executive, Laurence Morlass.
He was joined for the presentation by staff from Hunstanton’s Driftwood House Care Home who helped with the fundraising effort in July, as well as civic leaders.
Julie Bain, a senior care assistant at the home, pictured second from right said: “Ten of us spent seven hours pushing a bed around Hunstanton on the hottest day of the year – but it was a lot of fun.”
Also pictured above are, from left, Hunstanton mayor Elaine Clutton, Driftwood House manager Steph Durham, Chris Durham, the mayor of West Norfolk, Elizabeth Watson, home owners Muriel and Roy Kent and staff member Susan Scrafield.
