Brave Downham Social Club members will have the balls to bare all when they raise money for a men’s health charity.
Four members will be stripping down and going the full monty next month to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Club chairman Richard Venni will be joined by Phillip Marshall, Mark Marrs and Chris Clark for the nude fundraiser, being held at the Social Club on Saturday, March 29.
Doors open from 8.30pm, with a disco and the full monty itself at 10.30pm.
The event has been organised by club stewardess Jo Crook and assistant stewardess Cassie Whisler, who wanted to focus attention on men’s cancer issues.
She said: “I came up with the idea and roped the guys into it when they’d had a few to drink one night.
“We hear so much about women’s cancers and not very much about men’s, but it’s surprising how many men do suffer from prostate cancer.
“My grandad died from it and I have a close friend who has it. I also know lots of people who know others who have it.”
Entry is free to members and £2 on the door for guests.
Miss Whisler said: “Every penny raised on the night will go to the charity. Everyone is welcome, it should be great fun.”
