EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle prize remains unclaimed in North Norfolk

THE National Lottery is hunting for a millionaire who doesn’t know it yet - in the same district a major prize went unclaimed last month.

Every week, one lucky UK winner wins £1 million – guaranteed – in the new EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle draw.

However, the winner from the draw on July 30 - who bought the ticket in North Norfolk - still has to check their ticket and claim their prize.

The search is now on to find the owner of the winning ticket. Ironically, a ticket for the National Lottery which carried a £65,335 prize last month went unclaimed in the same area.

“Unfortunately, despite numerous appeals, the ticket-holder did not come forward and the prize expired at 5.30pm on July 15,” said a National Lottery spokesman.

It later went into the lottery’s Good Causes pot – adding to the £24 billion already raised for the pot through sales of lottery tickets since The National Lottery launched in November 1994.

For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle selection printed on their ticket.

The winning selection on the date in question was CTP063014 and the lucky ticket-holder has until 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, to make their claim.

The spokesman added: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.”

Since The National Lottery added the Millionaire Raffle to the hugely-popular EuroMillions game on November 13, 2009, 39 Millionaire Raffle selections have been drawn, with just the prize from the draw on 30 July and one from the draw on July 9, from a ticket bought in Central Bedfordshire, still waiting to be claimed.

If it remains unclaimed, the money will also go to the Good Causes, the spokesman said.

o Anyone who believes they have winning tickets for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
