Fakenham Lancaster Baden-Powell Air Scouts have been given a £3,000 grant by the town council.
This follows an appeal from the group after its premises were vandalised and valuable items stolen.
The council’s development and market committee offered a figure of £2,700, recommending the scouts buy a secure metal container and a new generator with the money. At a meeting of the full council last week this was increased to £3,000 with the proviso that insurance was included. The grant came out of market tolls.
