A retired carpenter died as a result of being exposed to asbestos, an inquest heard yesterday.

Garry Brinton, 69, of Willow Park, Lynn, died on December 24, 2013.

Senior coroner Jacqueline Lake heard that Mr Brinton had worked as a carpenter with a building company and was regularly exposed to asbestos in the form of soffit and barge boards.

She concluded Mr Brinton died as a result of the industrial disease mesothelioma.
