Staff at a Lynn pet food store worked together with customers to collect donations of food and supplies on behalf of PACT Animal Sanctuary this Christmas.

Lucy Beal, manager of Hardwick’s Jollyes pet food superstore, said: “We had a very positive response, with some people buying extra instore to donate, and others brought in tins of their own.”

The country-wide campaign involved setting up a Christmas giving tree, where shoppers could leave donations of food in boxes in the store, which would then be passed on to the sanctuary.

Miss Beal added: “Even if we don’t do it as a campaign next year, I’m thinking of running it again next year.”
