Solicitors at Ward Gethin Archer bravely under went the Ice Bucket Challenge on Friday to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Partner and solicitor in the Personal Injury department Sarah Scott and PI lawyers Claire Clark and Andrea Butcher got an icy drenching at the firm’s Tuesday Market Place offices.
It was their secretaries Pat Twell, Leah Crawford and Linda Isbill who got to throw the freezing water over their bosses’ heads.
Said Sarah: “It gave them a chance to get their own back! It was not quite as bad as I thought it was going to be – it could have been worse.
“It was good to do something for charity and it brought all the staff together as well as showing clients that we’re up for fun challenge.”
Money was donated by those taking part and others who went along to watch and it has gone directly to the MNDA. The challenge was made by Amanda Howarth of marketing and business development at the firm.
