A team of fundraisers at Lynn’s Iceland store raised more than £600 for the Royal British Legion after over 200 supporters flocked to their first family fun day on Sunday.
Held at Gaywood Community Centre, the event had everything from facepainting and inflatables, to stalls, zumba classes and lots of food to keep visitors entertained.
Organiser and stock assistant at the store, Danielle Gannon, said: “It was a really good day, especially for the first time we had attempted anything like that.
“We were really pleased with the turnout and want to say a huge thanks to everyone who came along, supported us, helped out on the day, and to all the businesses who provided us with raffle prizes.
“We couldn’t have done it without you.”
The day raised £601 for the store’s Charity of the Year, but there is still more money to come from sponsors. Organisers hope to hold more events like this is the future and are waiting to find out who their next Charity of the Year will be.
