Improvements to the footpath in Swaffham’s parish churchyard will be carried out next month, county council officials have confirmed.
Motorists will not be able to access the St Peter and St Paul churchyard during the week-long project, which is scheduled to start on Monday February 10.
Church Walk will also be closed to pedestrians while the work, which is costing around £15,000 to complete, is carried out.
Warning signs will be put up at both entrances to the churchyard.
The work on the footpath is expected to coincide with the second phase of a wider renovation of the churchyard planned by church leaders.
Work on that project began earlier this month when several trees were removed.
