A total of £27,000 was raised for good causes at the Wolferton scarecrow festival held over the bank holiday weekend.
The figure is slightly lower than the amount raised at the last festival in 2011, which officials have blamed on a lower turnout for the first day of the event, when the weather was wet.
Organising committee chairman Ben Colson said: “Of course it would have been good to have topped the 2011 figure, but the sum raised was really good under the circumstances.
“From what I saw personally, young and old alike appreciated what we provided for them, and that is an equally important measure of our success.
“In due course we shall decide precisely how much should go to which group and then hold a presentation evening in the village.”
A decision on how the proceeds will be shared is expected to be made later this month.
