Work is continuing on a multi-million revamp of Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s accident and emergency department. Cranes were seen hoisting a section of a modular building over the top of the hospital and into a court yard on Saturday. The new building is due to ease the pressure on the busy department and is expected to be finished in the spring.

Last September, the trust was granted £3.9 million to redesign the emergency department to create additional treatment areas and invest in support services.
