Up to 12 new jobs will be created when a drinks store opens up in an empty shop in Lynn town centre.

Shaake, a prepared drinks brand, is taking over and fitting out the former Chasey Lifestyles shop in Broad Street, next month.

The brand, which already has a store in Norwich, hopes to begin serving its milkshakes, smoothies and hot drinks from March.

Commercial director Ross Eden said it is looking forward to opening the brand’s fourth store.

He said: “Lynn was one of the few locations that kept coming up as a place we should come to. We are quite critical when we pick locations. Lynn has a decent town centre and we found the right location.

“We are a youth brand which makes us a destination venue. We also support extreme sports such as free running.

“This is an exciting plan.”

Up to 12 new jobs, including one or two full-time positions along with casual posts, will be created. The new store will be fitted out with a counter but will also have outdoor seating in the summer.

Shaake has been running for five years and has stores in Loughborough and Huddersfield.

Gift shop Chasey Lifestyles closed its doors for the final time before Christmas.
