There are more than 1,200 entries for this year’s Hunstanton tennis week with the under 14 age group one of the biggest and best for years.
There are 37 different categories to play in and they include all the events for male and female entrants at different age groups plus all the doubles combinations. Events range from under 12 years to senior veterans.
This year there are 38 grass courts with two hard courts in reserve should the weather turn, manicured to perfection by the senior groundsman Jeff Race (pictured).
The competition started on Sunday and will and finish with finals on Saturday with the prize giving at around 4pm. Some of the silverware up for grabs has been around for the best part of 100 years.
If the weather holds there should be a plate competition.
