A new cancer charity shop which aims to support local patients and their families has been welcoming its first customers.

The Big C shop has taken over the former Deck of Cards premises in Norfolk Street.

Manager Tonia King said all money raised would go towards equipment, support, care and research in Norfolk and Waveney.

Next year it is planned to open a support and information service at the shop.

Mrs King said: “Big C has already been supporting patients at Queen Elizabeth Hospital by providing a benefits advice service.”

Volunteers are needed. Please phone 01603 619900 for more information.

Mrs King was formerly community life champion at Asda in South Wootton. Deputy manager Adam King used to be the manager of Yanks clothing shop in Lynn.
