Charity walkers completed a 158-mile trek in aid of Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
The six-man team hiked for three days from Mansfield to Lynn, but it was not without a hitch, however, as Alan Taylor injured the muscle and ligaments in his leg and had to limp the last stretch of the journey. To celebrate the achievement, a fundraising night was held and in total, more than £3,000 was raised.
Debbie Dack, event coordinator, said: “We were really chuffed to meet these guys as we love to get to meet the fundraisers who help the children smile. Even though these guys were in pain they still was determined to carry on. They also raised a fantastic amount of money and awareness. Here at Scotty’s Little Soldiers we are really touched by what these guys did for the children of the fallen.”
