Scores of motorbikes set off from the site of the new hospice at Hillington on a 100-mile fundraising trip around the west of the county on Sunday.
The Motorbike Ride Out, the first event of its kind in aid of Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House, was a huge success raising thousands of pounds.
Rebekah Mills, of the hospice fundraising team, said: “It was absolutely amazing – everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. There were 88 bikes which left and many were carrying passengers.
“We have already received £2,650 and I am expecting at least another £1,500 in sponsorship.”
From Hillington, the riders headed off to Fakenham, Swaffham, where they took a break, then went on to Mildenhall, Brandon Creek, where there was a second rest stop, before travelling to Lynn and back to Hillington
Said Rebekah: “We would like to say a big thank you to Bike Sure, part of Adrian Flux, for sponsoring the event; the Coast Riders MC who organised and marshalled the whole ride; and Asda which provided a fantastic barbecue for everyone at the end.”
