Builders have started to transform a country mansion on the Sandringham estate which is believed to be the future home for Prince George and his parents.
Diggers and archaeologists have been seen working at Anmer Hall, which is expected to be the country retreat for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
West Norfolk Council granted permission earlier this year for a range of improvements at the 10-bedroom Georgian mansion, including the re-routing of a driveway across a field which once housed the medieval village of Anmer. Experts are believed to have found a stone wall during the excavations.
The Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting Dersingham Bog on Monday.
