A pre-school will be able to buy new toys thanks to a construction college.
North Wootton Pre-School has not had to fork out an estimated £1,000 from its toy and party budgets thanks to the efforts of staff from the Bircham Newton construction college.
Eight workers from the Construction Industry Training Board volunteered over two days to give the site, in St Augustine’s Way, a make-over.
Staff supplied and laid gravel along with painting a shed and gazebo. This was one of a series of corporate responsibility projects.
Pre-school manager Sharon Manning said: “We are a charity. If we were forced to pay to have this work done that would have been money that we couldn’t spend on things for the children.
“It is looking lovely and we are really grateful.”
The school has 65 children, aged between two and five, on its register.
