Builders will soon start work on constructing homes on a former cinema site.
The Pilot Cinema, which later became Zoots nightclub, has now been totally demolished.
Freebridge Community Housing began knocking down the well-known building, which had become an eyesore in John Kennedy Road, two weeks ago.
The association has received planning permission to put up houses and flats on the site.
The plans include the building of 25 residential units including six one-bed flats, 12 two-bed flats, four two-bed houses and three three-bed houses.
Building work is hoped to start from the week beginning Monday, April 28.
The association, which is based in Austin Street, is working with Wellington Construction.
The building, which was put up in the 1930s, was the Pilot Cinema before being refurbished in the 1990s and opening as Zoots. The night club closed in 2008.
