THREE men have been arrested after two raids in the early hours of this morning in Dersingham and Heacham.
Police were made aware of the first incident at Budgens in Dersingham at around 1.50am.
On arrival, officers discovered thieves had forced entry to the shop before taking a quantity of stolen cigarettes which were later found stashed close by.
The next offence took place at Tesco Metro in Heacham at around 4.50am. Again the thieves attempted to force entry but this time made off without any stolen items.
Police remained in the area following the incidents and at 6.15am a suspicious vehicle was spotted in Dersingham.
After a short pursuit three men were arrested.
All three were arrested on suspicion of burglary and are now in custody awaiting questioning.
