Children’s donkey rides helped to raise more than £1,500 for the residents of Holmwood House care home at Swaffham.

A host of stalls and games were also on offer for visitors to the summer fete, which was held at the White Cross Road site on Saturday.

Scratby Donkeys, who are based in Yarmouth, provided rides for youngsters throughout the afternoon.

And organisers have also thanked the many local businesses who provided prizes for the event, at which a total of £1,523.70 was raised for the residents’ fund.
