Members of a community forum which aims to keep communities in Downham safer have said they need to do more to raise public awareness of their work.
The issue was discussed at a meeting of the town’s Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) held at the town hall last Wednesday.
Panel members, which include police officers, council officials and representatives of other public bodies, made raising awareness of panel meetings a priority for the next two months.
They also agreed to prioritise ongoing efforts to reduce anti-social behaviour in hotspots around the town.
Work on both issues will be assessed at the next panel meeting, which will be held in November.
