Teenagers who brought a taste of the American west to Downham have presented the proceeds to Norfolk Hospice.
Year 13 pupils from Downham Academy organised a hoedown in March as part of their A-level travel and tourism group.
A total of 120 people enjoyed country music, burgers and line dancing.
The group opted to support Norfolk Hospice as it is a local charity and raised £834.87 during the event.
Group manager Ellen Priestley, who was helped by Becca Waters and Aaron Leggett, were all delighted with the amountraised at the event. Aaron said: “We were over the moon to have raised that much money.
“We co-ordinated the event and were not sure if we were going to break even but to get that many people to turn out and to raise that much money is fantastic.”
