More than £2,500 was raised when a group of brave fundraisers did the Full Monty at the Downham Social Club for a cancer charity.

Mark Marrs, Richard Venni and Philip Marshall, together with Chris Clark who was absent from the photocall above, bared all last month to help raise vital funds for Prostate Cancer Research.

The evening raised £2,578.38 to go towards the continuing work to help develop new treatments for the disease and improve survival rates.

It is estimated that around 40,000 men are diagnosed with the disease in Britain every year and that one in eight will be affected by it at some point in their lives.

Mark, Richard and Philip are pictured above handing over the cheque to club member Harry Atkins, who himself has terminal cancer.

Also pictured are the club’s stewardess, Jo Crook, left, and assistant stewardess Cassie Whisler, second right, who organised the event.
