Volunteers from a Downham charity shop went to church for the day at the weekend to help raise funds for its regional hospice project.
Staff from the Sue Ryder shop in Bridge Road held a 50p sale in the town’s Methodist Church on Saturday to support the charity’s Thorpe Hall appeal.
A total of £80 was raised for the campaign, which needs to raise £6 million by 2015 to fund major improvements to its services at the centre near Peterborough.
